Okay I”m back from convention two weeks from today, so I guess I can share this.. I just needed time to digest it and go on… Which I have!
I was so busy for weeks before convention getting ready for my organized SUDSOL card swaps I joined as well as making swaps for open-general card swapping…
I’ve told friends I work in my pool, but they couldnt’ image it. Now they don’t have to image it.
Below is the raft I us as a table. I cut, punch out, adhere, make ribbons etc here. Yup, that’s how I roll 🙂 HA!
I actually walk as I work, to get some exercise in too! How cool is that?
Having FMS and TMS, I have pain daily, it just depends on how much. So in our New Jersey Summer, I try to get into our pool as much as I can.
We only have about two months of pool time depending upon the weather… so I have to be creative!
I have the least amount of pain when I’m in water… But I can not do nothing.
My mind races with what I have to do, so I decided to make a list of what I could do while in the pool, and it works great.
I’ve been doing this for years! I even sketch card designs for the holidays in the pool!
I work for about a half our straight and then take a break and do stretches. Then I repeat this process… for a good 3-4 hours.
This way I’m getting what I need to do done, but also in water, which my body/muscles craves for.
Below is what almost 700 swap cards looks like. I don’t have the 150 SUDSOL card swap in this photo, but you get the jest.
I’ve mentioned SUDSOL Card Swaps and I realize you may not know what I’m talking about. This awesome group called SUDSOL is for Demonstrators only.
If you would like to know what SUDSOL is all about… please click on the link on the bottom of my right side bar.
You get a 2-week free trial and I am sure you will love SUDSOL as much as I do.
Oh if you are squinting, yes that is me and my two beagles in their pool float! And the handsome young man hanging on the left side is my best friend Terry’s son, Justin!
Hey Justin!! Love ya!
This was the week before convention and I was crazy working on my desk top and iPad (on the bottom right corner).
Computers do NOT simply your life, or save you time, I think that is a lie computer companies put out there for us to purchase all these electric gadgets! HA!
LOOK WHAT IT IS……
My 700 Swaps – the hotel mailed back to me the Tuesday after convention!!!
This is my box that holds 700 swaps.
I mailed them out the Thursday before convention and the PO noted that my hotel received them on the Saturday before convention at 1:58 PM.
When I got to the hotel on Tuesday, they said they did not have them. The saga began…
The blame game between the hotel and the post office went on all week, keeping my stomach doing flips.
I love swapping, that is always such a big event to me at convention…
– I did have 20 swaps for my upline’s group – because I was still working on them when I mailed out the box. So I did really enjoy swapping with my INKredible Family…
– I also had my GUINNESS WORLD RECORD Cards…. That was very important!!!
What it meant losing my 700 swap cards
1. The fun of meeting new demonstrators as we Awwwed over the swaps we got from each other
2. A full year or more of ideas for classes
3. To put out at my Hostess appreciation Event on August 17th
4. To blog about sharing wonderful swaps I received
5. The cost and time I put into making swaps for my business
Those are just a few things that come to mind, that changed this years convention for me
How, what, where why???? I’ll never know… So I really can’t get mad, I don’t know who had them, what happened and what when wrong..
Okay, enough of the sad story…. at convention after I realized I was going to miss out on all of my organized swaps as well as the exciting general swapping….
I knew if I did get my 700 swaps back, I would donate many of them for the Troops!!!
Turn that frown upside down!! SMILE!!!
How cool is that, I will be donating may of my swaps..
I did ‘From The Bride’ MDS Card, I don’t think, they will work for the troops 🙂
But many will…
Well, this has been like a diary for me. It felt good letting go and telling the world…
I did not tell my customers or anyone yet, unless they specify asked about my swaps, I really needed to have peace with it.
I have not opened the box yet. I just can’t do that. But when I do, maybe I’ll share a photo of what 700 card swaps look like in one box! HA!
