This evening at 5 PM I will be swapping with 42 fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators in an Organized Punch Art Swap. WOO HOO!
There are two types of swapping.
1) Open Swapping and
2) Organized Swaps
Free Style or Open swapping means you swap with anyone and everyone. In an elevator, bathroom, middle of the street, swap away!!!!! But you swap a card for a card, a pin for a pin, scrapbook page for a scrapbook page or 3D project for a 3D project. You do not sign up to be in a Open or Free Style Swap.
An Organized swap means you need to sign up.
How this works is, someone decides to offer a swap of some kind. The swap can be for cards, scrapbooking pages, 3D Projects, Punch Art etc.
The person running this swap keeps track of who joins and emails everyone once the deadline passes for signing up with confirmation of how many joined (which is the number of swaps you will need to make) and confirming where we will be 'meeting at'. This swap is an attendee only convention swap, meaning you must attend convention to have joined this swap.
We all make "X" amount of the identical swap. It's like Christmas when swapping… you never know what you are going to get 🙂
I choose to create a Baby Carriage. I think this is adorable and easy to make which can be easily reproducted for note cards, tags, cards, even on scrapbook pages.
We all are placing our Punch Art design with directions on a 6×6 piece of cardstock. This way we can organize them nicely in any of our 6×6 album located on page 190 in the New Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog.
Below is my Swap!
During the day, I was doing General Swapping, my goodness, wait until you see the cards I got!
Have a great evening!
