I hope you are enjoying my posts as much as I am writing them. Please leave a comment so I know you are:)
We just left the Stampin' Up! Home Office heading to the Smith Building for a wonderful dinner. Everyone was dropped off there except for a few who were unable to attend the dinner and myself, because I needed to go back to the convention center to pick up my scooter.
A scooter enables me to attend and enjoy our Stampin' Up! Convention, sometimes I just need to work around some of the plans… but it all works out.
From when the Tour Cruise Bus dropped us off at the Salt Palace Convention Center it only took me 7 minutes to scoot to the Smith Building… I would never had made it that quickly on foot.. ha ha ha
I did not miss anything, my friend Debbie, had saved me a seat had my dinner and desert sitting at my place setting when I got there! Thanks so much Deb!
Here are some photos of our Evening event with CIAF:
Here is Amy one of the developers of CIAF (Class In A Flash). She is not only alot of fun to be around but she's some SMART COOKIE:)
Oh and Amy has a Fabulous hair doo – to bad you can't see the back of her head… OMG…. LOL (am I out of the dog house yet Amy!?!?) tee hee
Here's…………Debbie, the Techie Gal…. She's got a great sense of humor – even though she's BRILLIANT! Go figure, Fun & Fabulous! Doesn't she look like she's Runway material, or is that 'run away' material!!??!?! tee hee xoxo
It just so happens my friend Debbie who moved to Florida a little over a year ago, and I went to a Stampin' Up! Event in Orlando, Fla last Spring were we met Amy and Debbie. We all shared a table and had a blast! We were sharing business ideas, and I mentioned I wish I could write up my classes quicker… and accidentally found out, they had just started assisting fellow demonstrators with just that… So I figure, if I'm not smart enough to write up my own tutorials quickly at least I have friends who can… LOL
I wish I had taken a photo of the dinner, it was fabulous, but of course, anyone who knows me, could guess, I did take a picture of the desert…
Now there is a quick story behind this desert. I attended my first, CIAF event at last years convention and they had these DELICIOUS CHOCOLATE CUP CAKES… Now I'm not really a cupcake person, but hey it was chocolate, so why not try it, right… Oh my goodness, it was to die for….
All year I thought, gee, I wish there was some where local that baked the same delicious cup cakes. Hum, now that I think about it, it's probably a good thing, there isn't :) Can you image the points……… forget about it…. ya know…. 🙂 If you did not 'get' that last line, you are WAY to SKINNY!! tee hee
Well, as I was emailing Amy & Debbie a few weeks ago I mentioned I hoped they would have those 'cupcakes' again… I think it was a special request from everyone who attended last year! They said, they would SAVE me ONE!! HA! (Just hoping it wasn't the one in their freezer from a year ago.. HA)
Well, here they are, so sorry you can't taste them. But guess what, if you sign up to be a demonstrator on my team, you can attend next year's convention and I'm make sure you get one! 🙂 Trust me it is worth it!
The Smith Building where the Dinner was held, is a historical landmark and absolutely beautiful.
The dinner was from 4:30 PM to 6:15 PM, because we all wanted to 'rush' back over to the convention center for the Stampin' Up! Flower Power Party which began at 6:30 PM.
So I'm getting back on my scooter and heading over to the Convention Center with Debbie. See ya in a little while!
Debbie gets to walk off her cupcake, me not so much 🙂
