The past few weeks I've been busy having tests to found out if I have cancer. I've been stamping through it all but have not been posting on my blog.
Unfortunately too many of you know how draining and stressful these tests are as well as the possible outcome. But the tests are behind me now, thank God! I'm just waiting for the results of last weeks PET CT Scan. It looks good, but it's always unnerving waiting for the final results.
During the past few weeks my darling husband finally had his hernia surgery, all went well. He just need to take it easy for the next month. That is like trying to tie down a bull in a China shop! But actually, he is listening to his surgeon I'm very happy to report:)
Billy our beagle (4 yrs old) had surgery to remove a lump from his knee. The results came back not cancer. Thank you Lord! He is doing well, but wears a Lamp shade when I'm not 'in the same room with him' watching him like a hawk! This lamp shade (e Collar) prevents him from biting on his stitches. I must ask the Vet if it's a doggie thing or a male thing… LOL
So as you can see, we are all 'jocking' for attention… tee hee
In the mean time, I am thankful I am back in a "frame of mind" to share with you…
I've been so excited to share about an awesome NAEYC Event I was honored to be asked to participate in. I've been doing events with NAEYC for over 4 years. It is so rewarding to be apart of their events!
I enjoy being a Creative Coach - teaching Arts & Crafts using rubber stamping through card making, scrap booking as well as other fun & unique projects with children as well as School Teachers & Aides.
NAEYC stands for: the National Association for the Education of Young Children – promoting excellence in early childhood education.

I shared information about: how much fun Mommy & Me Classes are, as well as Adult Stamping Events - Card Making & Scrap-booking, Unique Gift Giving Classes. and much more!
Please be sure to check out my Calendar http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/loisfolla/events for upcoming classes.

The Make It Take It's I offered are below… I was told by many, my table offered the most fun craft project there! There were about 55 -60 tables there, and each offered some type of craft project. As you can imagine, I was beaming with pride and quite honored to be told that!
I told all who shared their compliments with me, 'Thank you, I really enjoy and love what I do', and I hope to play 'stamp' with them and their children again in the near future!

The Event ran from 10:00 to 2:00 PM, but the families started coming closer to 11:00 AM.
In 3 short hours I helped make over 140 bookmakers with children 7 years and under! It was a blast! Mom & or Dad's, Aunts and caregivers stood behind little ones smiling - watching the fun they were having.
Many of the children were young (under 7 years old) so here are a few things I did to help them:
- I would ask them to put their hand over mine and we stamped together
- I would stamp the image, keeping my hand on the book-marker, and ask them to press on my hand to help me stamp. The giggles I got :)
– The parents were impressed with the end result. The book markers came out great and their child made them! I enjoyed guiding the children with their needs so all would be exited about the out come of their stamping project.
One Mom asked, do you offer adults classes too? I said, Oh YES, I sure do! I hope she reads this blog and leaves a comment!
Another Mom, make two book-markers for her twin daughters that were in the stroller. It was so much fun to watch this woman sit down and enjoy a few minutes crafting. She seemed to have so much fun! I waved at her girls as Mommy played (stamped) with me. I hope this Mom also reads this blog post and leaves a comment!
One of the Mom's had two sons, one of them came right over and made a book marker, but the other one didn't. He was shy. I asked his Mom if she would like to make 'that son' a book marker'. She said, I can? I said sure. She sat down, and had a blast stamping for the first time! She thanked me so much. I watched as she walked over to her son, he had his hand out. As she gave him the cute book marker, he looked up at me, and gave me a BIG Smile! His Mom and I laughed… We both knew he would be sad if he went home and didn't have an animal book marker like his brother:) Sure enough… I hope this Mom also reads this blog post and leaves a comment!

One of the funnies and cutest things about this event was when many the children making the book-markers looked up at me and said, 'Will I be able to keep this'? I said, oh YES, of course! Their eyes opened even WIDER and their SMILES gleamed! That was my Heart Felt Thanks for donating my time and supplies!
My next post will be of some children and adults having fun, so stay tune!
Have a great day!
